Things I am loving...

I wholeheartedly believe that no matter what is happening in your life, there is always something that you can be thankful for... no matter how simple it is.  

A couple of things I am loving at the moment...

I am loving that I have an eggplant on my plant!!  I love eggplant and the last two attempts to grow them have been futile.  Fingers crossed this little sucker ends up on our dinner plate.

I loved our trip to the Auckland Zoo last night.  Andys work put on a night at the zoo with free drinks and food!!!  I had not been to the zoo in years so it was fun.

Giraffes have to be my fave animal...  so cute.

These cheeky hippos came right up to the edge to say hello to all the kids looking at them.

I am also loving the Apple Shortcake I made yesterday, do delish!!

I am loving that our bathroom is very close to being finished, not fully operational since November of last year.  A small glitch yesterday put it off being finished for another week but that is fine.  My husband has worked so hard on it, I think he is getting a little over it.

I am loving the cute baby things I have ordered online this week.  I cannot wait until they are delivered!!

Things I am loving...

I wholeheartedly believe that no matter what is happening in your life, there is always something that you can be thankful for... no matter how simple it is.  


It has been a while since my last post.  I really want to get my pregnant butt into gear and start joining in every weekend again.  


Here are just a few things I am loving at the moment.


I am loving making things for bubs...
Bibs, burp cloths, mobile, hats (practising making hats before other fancy knitted items) and nursing cloth (boobie hider).

Next I am finishing off a cushion cover and beginning to make some baby sleeping bags.  They are very expensive to make and apparently very handy dandy things to have.  Got a pattern from spotlight last week ($18, buy one get one free) and enough material to make around 4 for $10.  Very cheap considering they are over $35 to buy from the shops.


I am loving the scrapbook I am putting together for bubs.  I love any excuse to buy cute stickers and colour in.  

I am loving the finches that are eating the seeds out of my sunflowers.  They are such a pretty bird with a pretty song.



I am loving my haul of tomatoes this year!  So far I have managed to freeze around 8kg worth of tomatoes for the coming year.  I will use them in crock pot meals and in soups.  My favorite tomatoes this year are pompom tomatoes.  They are very cute and sweet to eat.

 

I am loving my husband, he has been looking after me a lot lately.  Even rubbing my back when I was sick in the sink of our cabin when we were away two weeks ago (sorry if that is too much info).

And lastly I am loving my ever expanding tummy.  My tummy has 'popped' out considerably in the last week and a half.  It makes it all seem more real.   Have a great week everyone!

18 weeks along.  I really need to learn to have photos taken earlier in the day when I don't look half asleep!
