Things I am loving...

I wholeheartedly believe that no matter what is happening in your life, there is always something that you can be thankful for... no matter how simple it is. 

Here is a few of the things I am loving at the moment,

I am loving being on holiday!!!  The thought of two weeks off work to sleep in, catch up with friends, go away to Wellington for a few days, catch up with family, sit in the sun, craft, blob in front of the tv, go for walks, garden, go to the gym etc etc just makes me warm and fuzzy on the inside!


I am loving my parrot tulips, they started flowering this week.  First spring with them in pots.  They are just so pretty!

I also love my little milk bottle vase this one is in...

I am loving that I got a chance to play in my garden for half a day yesterday.  I got heaps of jobs done!  Such a great feeling!


I planted some potatoes that I forgot I had put downstairs to seed...

I turned my vege garden and topped them up with compost, made a trellis for my sweet peas (that my grandad grew from seed for me) to grow up, Planted a capsicum (I have a cloche over it to protect it), I put an unused garden arch in one of my gardens and put garden twine up and around it to grow my butter beans on, planted spring onions (my new fave vege to grow), basil and coriander, and cut back and tied up my borage and shoo fly.

I am loving that I finally got around to putting up a trellis for my passionfruit!!  Sounds silly but I have had the trellis for probably 3 months.  

I also tidies up the garden under it and used my homemade compost in the garden.  First time ever.  I was freaked out by using it, I think I thought it would be yuck and have mice living in it!!

I am loving the bagels I made yesterday for lunch.  Best batch yet.

And last of all...  I am loving how much pleasure my husband is getting out of the tools I won!  I won over $5000 worth of power tools (for him) from Mitre 10 and  I have the happiest husband ever!  Yesterday he finished off this very fancy bbq area.  It will be right next to the fancy pizza oven he built which is on the fancy deck he built (with help from a friend).

Us with most of the tools, I got a lawn mower (which has been sold and the cash is going towards buying a flash new camera) and I also got a $250 gift voucher (used to buy organic compost, deck kit for the new water blaster, fire extinguisher and some seedlings)

The best part of the prize is the water blaster (how much fun is that gonna be??), hedge trimmer, pole trimmer, edge trimmer and blower vac.  Yes there is a theme to those tools, my husband can have the other things.
